Our team integrates enriching activities like music, physical education, and creative exploration, while participating in trusted initiatives such as Early Childhood Education (ELC), Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK), and Step Up For Students.

Laura Cusco
Director
With over a decade of hands-on experience in early childhood education and behavior therapy, Laura has built her career around supporting the growth and development of every child in her care. She is a certified preschool director, a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), and is currently completing her bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a focus on Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Her studies also include specialized training in special needs education, leadership, and early childhood development.
Laura’s vision for Unique Care Academy is rooted in her passion for inclusive education and her desire to create a space where all children — from typical learners to those with special needs — can feel seen, supported, and empowered. Her deep understanding of behavioral science and child development informs every aspect of the school’s programs, ensuring that each child receives the individualized attention and care they need to thrive.
Driven by both heart and expertise, Laura continues to grow professionally while bringing innovative, research-based practices to the classrooms of Unique Care Academy. Her mission is to provide a safe, joyful, and enriching environment where every child can build confidence, learn through play, and reach their full potential.
